请问记得manhattan上说过像“名词+of结构，修饰语”这种结构里修饰语修饰名词+of结构。 但是在这道题中construction of RC后面无论是which从句还是officially known as都应该修饰的是construction of RC这个整体才对呀。 为什么题目中修饰的是RC呢？ 求版主解答。作者: 幸运E枪兵 时间: 2012-8-26 19:27

you should use the common sense to determine which part is the modifier intended to modify..
X of Y 可以指代Y，也可以指代X of Y这个整体
当X of Y不符合逻辑的时候，就指代Y...（就像这题）
如果指代Y 和 X of Y both make sense logically。then you got an ambiguity OR you should think the modifier is preferred to modify Y,because Y is the closest to the modifier.
