还有个问题就是平行时介词能否省略，比如说"Many experts regarded the large increase in credit card borrowing in March not as a sign that households were pressed for cash and forced to borrow, but as a sign that households were confident they could safely handle new debt."but后的as 能不能省略？ 望高人指点，感激不尽！作者: wellsli 时间: 2012-8-10 15:35

谢谢！那第一个句子如果省略be动词的话会不会引起歧义啊，比如说published可以看成是主动语态的过去式，这样就相当于The essay published in England.作者: solde 时间: 2013-5-28 20:19
介词一般来说是不能省的，但如果不会引起歧义则可以。
Plants are more efficient than fungi at acquiring carbon,in the form of carbon dioxide, and converting it to energy-rich sugars.这道题中就省略了at，完整的应该是at converting
