8. In late 1997, the chambers inside the pyramid of the Pharaoh Menkaure at Giza were closed to visitors for cleaning and repairdue to moisture exhaled by tourists, which raised its humidity to such levels so that salt from the stone was crystallizingand fungus was growing on the walls.

them在E选项为什么指代清楚？在CD就是指代不清楚

貌似明白了，在D选项中，"raising the humidity within them"是作为tourists的后置定语修饰tourists的，因此them指代的是tourists，而E选项中，exhaled by tourists 只是作为moisture的后置定语，因此在后面的them就只能修饰chambers了。

为啥，"raising the humidity within them"是作为tourists的后置定语修饰tourists的..不懂啊..

为啥，"raising the humidity within them"是作为tourists的后置定语修饰tourists的..不懂啊..

就是分词作为后置定语修饰呀，“raise the humidity within them”是tourists主动发出的，所以用现在分词修饰
