The television documentary went beyond the save-the-wildlife pieties of some of those remote from East Africa and showed that in a country pressed for food, the elephant is a pest, and an intelligent pest at that. There appears to be no way to protect East African farms from the voracious foraging of night-raiding elephant herds. Clearly this example illustrates that______

Which one of the following most logically completes the paragraph?

(A) the preservation of wildlife may endanger human welfare

(B) it is time to remove elephants from the list of endangered species

(C) television documentaries are incapable of doing more than reiterating accepted pieties

(D) farmers and agricultural agents should work closely with wildlife conservationists before taking measures to control elephants

A? Others are not that relevant.

Yes, A is the right answer, in my first glance, I think the answer should be relative to elephants, then I picked B without pay attention to the irrelevant word "endangered species".

The way to solve this problem is too find the main point. "The television documentary went beyond the save-the-wildlife pieties of some of those remote from East Africa". Here is the key. Acutually I think the elephant case is just an example to illustrate that in different conditions the relation between husmanbeing and endangered species are very complication. It does not mean that no matter under what sort of situation, to-save- wildlife has the absolute priority.

The television documentary went beyond the save-the-wildlife pieties of some of those remote from Ea ...

Spot the question type: Must be true.

Core of the argument:

No food ---> Elephant is a pest

No ways to protect farms from elephant herds

Apparently, if you keep elephant alive, then how could human have foods ?

A is the correct answer.
