Tiger beetles are such fast runners that they can capture virtually any nonflying insect. However, when running toward an insect, the beetles intermittently stop, and then, a moment later, resume their attack.

这道题我以前也错选了B 试着解释一下题目说对beetles有两种猜测一个是它跑一段就要休息另一个是它看不清 B说它可以respond immediately to changes in the insect's direction 说明它看得清 pause equally whether the chase is up or down an incline. 如果是跑一段就要休息那上坡应该跑的时间间隔更短下坡应该跑的时间间隔长而pause equally说它休息的时间还一样否定了第一个假设两个假设都否定所以错
