标题: 请教：Verbal分册 94题关于平行结构parallel的问题
请各位朋友帮忙解答一下，答案说正确选项（E）中的 to be confined 和 to go home 平行，补全了就是a motion to allow the members of the jury to be confined to the hotel和a motion to allow the members of the jury to go home是平行的。可是我认为这样的平行结构不符合逻辑，因为 a motion 只可能有一个目的，就是“让议员们回家”，不可能是“要么让议员们回家，要么让他们被局限在宾馆”。
所以我想请问大家，how to make sense of the correct answer choice?

已经明白了。

"To be confined"" doesn't modify the verb ""to allow"", but simply appears to be CONTRASTED with ""to go home"", because they are the two options the jury members have.

意思是。。。that被省略了？
