Parallelism; Logical predication;

这个句子说的是关于一份请愿书要求学校做三件事情的。一个很重要的错误点在于请愿书本身是不能提供一个基金的（最多可以请求设立基金，而其本身不能作为提供者提供一个基金）。这个句子的重点是弄清楚句中划线部分各处的关系，即什么是学校能做的，学校做包括什么，和什么是请愿书能包含的。

A. 虽然这个选项没有明显的语法错误，但是把“ provide a fund”认为是请愿书的一部分了，请愿书本身并不能提供基金； “fund”的两个功能平行没有问题。

B. “unqualifiedly”作为副词修饰“offer”，句意变成“未经合格的提供”，不符合逻辑；“authorize”前面省略了介词“to”，很容易让人误认为是和“urge”平行；最后的“and”后省略了“for”，可能会被误认为“ a fund”和“other expenses”平行。

C. 正确。这个句子明确的说明了请愿书要求学校做的三个事情；各个事情中的关系清楚。

D. 同A，这个句子中也没有明显的语法错误；但是请愿书现在变成了“为了劝谏学校而做的”，违背句子的意思。 最后一个“and”的错误同B。

E. “to urge”错误同D；这个句子现在意思为“请愿书可以劝谏学校….请愿书可以授权…..请愿书可以提供基金…..”, 请愿书本身不能提供基金和授权调查。

理由：
A)and that provide， 这里that指代petitions说不通，petitions 不能provide a fund，看意思应该是让学校provide；
for therapy and for other expenses or losses resulting from the abuse；
to offer, to authorize, to provide 三者应该是并列的关系，没有理由把前两者合并

B)authorize前面少了to，意思就差远了，和a的错误差不多， petitions 不能authorize调查，而是让学校authorize调查；
unqualifiedly offer和offer an unqualified apology意思差远了；
to offer, to authorize, to provide 三者应该是并列的关系，没有理由把前两者合并

D)offer an unqualified apology for any abuse, for the authorization，and for the provision 完全改变句子意思

E) unqualifiedly offer和offer an unqualified apology意思差远了;
把 authorize， provide 和urge 并列 完全说不通

c把最后的for去掉就完美了，因为前面只有therapy一个词。除非前面一串词组，第二个for才有用，for在这里连续出现两次。。想强调什么吗？也说不通啊

我选E。在C选项和E选项徘徊了很久，非常不确定，求指正。                                                                    

A.    1） 两个that...and that...定语从句并列修饰petitions, 且petitions在两个定语从句中都做主语，给人感觉好像 是两种不同的 petitions; 2)Petitions提供fund感觉说不通；3) provide a fund compensated victims for... 应该为provide a fund to compensate victims...， 不然compensated victims…过去分词短语修饰fund说不过去；4）and连接两个并列的成分，中间不应有逗号。所以and that前的逗号多余。
B.    1）petitions应该被限定修饰；2)and authorize的平行有歧义：可以是与urge平行，也可以是与（to）unqualifiedly offer平行；3)for therapy and 后面应该加上for，以明确平行对象。
C.    1）没有语法错误，但感觉句子没有说完，句子的中心意思没有表达出来。D教授和K教授就请愿进行合作，然后用大段篇幅修饰请愿的内容。
D.    1）三个for短语平行，使得句意包含apology for authorization of an independent investigation and for the provision of …逻辑上说不通； 2）for therapy and后面应该加上for以明确平行的层次。
E.    逻辑上和句意上感觉表达清楚了。但我觉得and to provide之前的逗号应该去掉，因为and连接的是两个句子成分而非两个并列的句子。

话说Helr老师出的题目真是纠结呀…

C is correct for me

C的逻辑表达更清晰，to offer, to authorize, to provide, 都明确得由petitions发出，school执行

A. petitions that urge schools to offer an unqualified apology for any abuse and to authorize an independent investigation, and that provide a fund compensated victims for therapy and for

A的动作发出者很混乱

B. petitions, which urge schools to unqualifiedly offer apology for any abuse and authorize an independent investigation, to provide a fund to compensate victims for therapy and

B 句用逗号将"which"引导的句子隔开，将原来同等地位的句子变成了secondary importance.

D. petitions to urge schools that offer an unqualified apology for any abuse, for the authorization of an independent investigation, and for the provision of a fund to compensate victims for therapy and
E. petitions to urge schools that unqualifiedly offer apology for any abuse, to authorize an independent investigation, and to provide a fund that compensate victims for therapy and for

我觉得D和E里的that 很可疑，似乎起到了限定schools的作用，变成了“对滥用行为无条件致歉的学校”，而原文的意思是“促使这些学校无条件致歉”

从逻辑意思来讲 原句的意思应该是请愿督促学校来提供道歉，授权调查和提供租金，所以说authorize、offer和provide是平行于schools后面的。如果是A、E的话就是说authorize和offer是平行与urge的了逻辑意思不对。D也是这个问题。

B不但逻辑意思不同，平行也有问题。

A 不正确，and that provide，使得provide动作的主语编程了petitions，请愿书提供资金不符合逻辑，应该是学校提供资金；另外that

urge schools...在句中为修饰petitions的定语从句，that在定语从句中不能充当主语，错误

B 不正确，原句中offer an unqualified apology，unqualified修饰apology意思是提供一个绝对的道歉，而句中unqualifiedly offer

appology，unqualifiedly修饰offer动作，改变原句意思，不合理。不过想问一下Helr老师，unqualified在这里是什么意思呀？我不太理

解的，呵呵

C 正确，-ing分词作定语修饰petitions，to offer, to authorize, and to provide并列作为urge动作的目的状语

D不正确，将petition的定语更改为colaborate动作的目的状语，更改原句意思，原句是解释请愿书的内容而不是合作情愿的目的。另外，

表示动作目的只能用to do，用for +动词名词形式不合理，且故意复杂化

E不正确，更改原句意思同D

考点：平行
A: unqualified apology 固定用法，意思是彻底道歉。前面问题不大，后面的 ,and that provide a fund compensated victims for therapy 变成了 petitions that provide a fund compensated victims. 逻辑意义混乱，本来应该是要求学校来出前补偿受害者。
B: 忽略which非限定性定语从句，句子就变成了petitions to provide. 搭配不当。unqualifiedly offer apology逻辑意思不对。
C: 句子结构petitions urging schools to offer…., to authorize….., and to provide…..结构完整，句意清楚。

我选C。
A中的后面那个and that provide 按照原句理解应该是和that urge schools并列，但是provide的主语应该也是schools，所以不对。
B中整个意思改变了，which从句的插入使得意思与原句相差甚远。
D中把动词并列结果变成了介词并列结构，而且最后没有for
E unqualified从修饰apology变成了修饰动词offer，第一个是that从句，之后都是to do结构，不并列。

起先，不懂 unqualified apology 的含义，看了这位的解释，学到很多。

觉得选C哈，还没看大家的分析，先凭个人感觉分析一个
A 首先如果是后面那个, and that 这样的话必然是修饰petitions， 那么petitions provide a fund 逻辑不通。就算是用被动fund compensated来修饰victims也应该去掉a.
B如果不是and to authorize 而是 and authorize 就非得是 unqualifiedly authorize 才并列，而这样句意不通
C正确，并且这样的句式也正迎合了句末的resulting from the abuse.
Dfor  for 神马的改变主句意思了。。。
E也改变主句意思了，句子前提是要求学校对滥用作出彻底的道歉，而这里的that 定语从句却已经表示的是那些已经对滥用作出彻底道歉的学校，所以至少应该在that 后面加上they 才能改变从句为宾语从句来表达原意。

C纠结了一下，觉得改变了原句的意思，原句的意思是说要urge offer an unqualified apology for any abuse的学校去authorize和provide a fund， 而C 则变成了要urge schools to offer
D中，for + 名词表目的永远错
