Job Details: Lead the Microbial Fermentation Process Development group. Manage day to day activities of the department. Recruit and develop staff. Set priorities for the department. Responsible for all aspects of Fermentation Process Development of early and late stage biopharmaceutical assets expressed using a microbial platform. Set and approve experimental plan to achieve development of commercial production process. Review data and draw conclusions that are based in good science. Responsible for all aspects of Technology Transfer of fermentation processes to the designated manufacturing group. Responsible for all aspects CMC submissions pertaining to fermentation process development.
Qualifications: 1. hD in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biochemical/Chemical Engineering or related Biological science field with 0-5 years, or MS with 5+ years, or BS with 7+ years of relevant industrial experience 2. A thorough understanding of microbial physiology and molecular biology . A detailed understanding of all aspects of fermentor operations and automated control systems associated with the operation of a fermentor. 3. Hands on experience developing fermentation processes for the production and manufacture of biopharmaceuticals using microbial expression platform(s) especially with Ecoli and Yeast 4. Have supervisory experience 5. Authored and reviewed regulatory submissions 6. Ability to process and analyze complex data set and In-depth knowledge of statistics and statistical analysis software
