标题: 大全971——求证ing分词分句用法

1. Many economists predict that the next recession, when it comes, will be caused by Federal Reserve action taken to prevent an inflationary upsurge that would result if the economy were to expand at an annual rate of three percent or more.

(A) taken to prevent an inflationary upsurge that would result

(B) they took for preventing an inflationary upsurge that would result

(D) they took to prevent an inflationary upsurge resulting（A）

(E) taken for preventing an inflationary upsurge that will result

答案是A，我开始选了C。

后来读resulting if...觉得不爽，想求证分词后面时候可以加类似的结构？？

感觉doing if不是个好表达，因为通常if一般时，主句有will, 如虚拟，则主句有would/could等(例如本题），这样省略will/would等就会表达不完整。if一般时，主句有时也会是一般时，但在gmat中这种表达通常不做最优项。况且that定语从句和doing修饰有时也有区别，故doing if较少见。楼主不提我还没注意到。

其实我查了语法书，没查到，就是想求证一下关于：ing分词分句之后是否可加if条件句？？

我的语法书上没写这个，因为虚拟语气导致resulting错误，但是resulting if 对吗？？

我不知对不对，只是在我的印象中好像没有doing if做正确选项的。你可留意一下看看有无这种例句。感觉doing if作正确选项的可能性比较小。

同意，若是做v-ing if的表達，恐怕也會違背假設法的標準格式

这题最主要的是用分词不如定从因为定从可以表达出虚拟的意思

这跟doing if没有什么关系

请问result在这里的词性是什么，似乎只有result in\from 的用法，也就是说result后面要一定有介词？

动词.

result的确是不及物动词.但这里后面也确实没有跟动词啊.if部分都是一个条件..

所以不加介词也是没有关系的.

还是请NN分析吧.
