HKUST is obviously the top among all other Asian finance programs. In terms of research activities of their faculty, the school lies in the top 30 worldwide.

simonq, it is more than complicated to say that.

Depends on your goal of that, which professor, which direction, and your future job situation and location.

You may ask those guys who is studying is the schools or contact the professors directly, more investigation, more safe.

It's really a big question. As to apply to CUHK postgraduate couse, you may resort to http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/gss for more information. If you like to know some information about visa or something else, better contact with the admission office of your applied school.

If you are targeting Finance, i would strongly suggest to apply for HKUST.

In HKUST you will have tons of opportunities to get exposure to the finance industry.

In fact, all finance-related courses here are VERY STRONG!!! We have exchange students from top 10 US schools, and even those students say that some of our finance courses are at the same level of those offered by their schools.

Plus, we have IB or finance seminars at least two times every week, and the speakers are from all those top banks!

Glad to see that you are going apply HKUST.

I'm a first year MBA student in HKUST, and the experience here is wonderful!

Back to your question about Salary, I should say that it depends on which industry / job your are working for. If you are working for top IB, of course you will get A LOT!

Basically, the monthly salary for HKUST MBA graduates in HK range from HKD25,000 to HKD50,000.
