答案选A，但是后面句子里面有 their descendents. their明显指代 honeybees. 但 release of African honeybees 这个结构中，honeybees是修饰release的，所以不能作为一个先行词被后面代词指代的。我记得manhattan上面是这么说的，不知道是不是这里自己想错了哪里，还麻烦知道的同学帮忙解释一下，不胜感激。

做了很多题只碰到代词不能指代所有格，没听说过其他的代词不能指代了。传说manhattan中也有一些错的。。。。

可能我表述不清晰， the release of honeybees 中主体是release，但是their指代honeybees。

哦你的意思是把它看成一个整体？但是整体指代是指指代前面名词的完整成分，包括“修饰成分”，而这里面honeybees没有修饰成分，不用非把他俩看成一个整体吧。
