seem as though the energy being referred to
in this part of the sentence is that of France，可是C项中也有the energy 啊，这里就不会理解为是法国的吗

因为C中的the energy后边紧跟了修饰语produced in Germany，而D中后边没有跟限定他的修饰语，所以C没有问题~hope it helps~
