标题: 请教一道简单的语法题～
According to surveys by the National Institute on Drug Abuse, about 20 percent ofyoung adults used cocaine in 1979, doubling those reported in the 1977 survey.
(A) doubling those reported in the 1977 survey
(B) to double the number the 1977 survey reported
(C) twice those the 1977 survey reported
(D) twice as much as those reported in the 1977 survey

请教：1：a，d为啥错？
2：题目比较的明明是20 percent，可e为啥选number，明明比较的不是绝对数目啊。。
请高人回答～～！！

A.比较的是20 percent，A中those指代adults，20percent和adults概念不对等。
D.同A

2：题目比较的明明是20 percent，可e为啥选number，明明比较的不是绝对数目啊。。
20不是number么？？这个就是理解问题了。。
