Also, the company would own more office space and buy more computers.(55) Second, the unemployment may not come down. While the passage says more people would be hired because of four-day workweek, the speaker talks about if the employer asks employees to work over time and even fulfill the previous five-day work in just four days, which could make employees more unpleasant. This counters what’s stated in the passage.(57) Third, although the employees have more time to get involved in their private lives with their family, the lecturer points the fact that four-day workweek might reduce their job abilities preventing the advance in the career.
