Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the statement and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, you should consider ways in which the statement might or might not hold true and explain how these considerations shape your position.
The statement includes three claims: one is pace of life today is increasingly rapid; another is that the rapid pace both causes and solves a lot problems and the last is that the problems caused are more than it solves. While the former two claim is automatic, whether it is right of the last claim is hard to say. Actually, it may be not important to find out whether it is true or not since it has been the truth that there are many problems in today's life which cannot be changed and what we need to pay attention to should be owning a positive attitude to adapt this increasingly rapid pace of life.
In this increasing rapid pace of life, while one can get to someplace by many convenient vehicles such as cars, planes, it also brings some negative effects on environment which calls people to find solutions to make a counterbalance; while a company can be more and more effective and produce better products more quickly, its employees may confront some mental problems such as anxiety, distresses,solitude and so forth that may be detrimental not only to themselves but to the stability of the society. To this degree, it seems true that the increasing rapid pace of life today causes more and more problems.
However, every coin has two sides and it cannot be defined whether the problems must be totally detrimental thus we cannot clarify it is not good to live in this increasingly rapid pace of life. While one see that problems of negative effects on environment, one should not ignore the advancing technology to resolve the problem. The same thing can be said of the psychological problems with people. While those problems may lead people to be unhealth, it motivates people digs out their potential abilities to be more competitive individuals. In fact, causing problems means calling people for finding solution to solve it, and it may to some extent necessarily make the society more advancing.
As a matter as fact, what can be clarified is that there are many problems in this increasingly rapid pace of life and it seems meaningless to diagnose whether there are more problems that causes than solves or not since the truth can not be changed. What we should concern about now may be how to adapt today's life. It is better for people to be optimistic to confront so many problems, recognizing that these problems can be catalysts that make the society better and better.
In conclusion, while we are aware that there are so many problems in this increasingly rapid pace of life today, we should recognize that these problems can be stimulus for our society and it is more important to pay attention to adjust ourselves to adapt it. 作者: 普渡哥 时间: 2012-4-30 20:54
