标题: gwd 7-1

Although producer prices rose at an unexpectedly steep rate in September, analysts said that the increase resulted mostly from temporary factors and not necessarily foreshadowing that there would be a resurgence of inflation.

  • factors and not necessarily foreshadowing that there would be

  • factors and not necessarily that it foreshadowed

  • factors and did not necessarily foreshadow

  • factors, while not necessarily a foreshadowing of

  • factors, while it did not necessarily foreshadow that there would be

Seems C is the best answer,--no else is better...

But do you think there is mistake in the sentence: The analyst said that the increase WAS resulted from...(there is no WAS in the sentence...)

    A:and前后谓语动词不平行;foreshadow用法awkward

C:Concise and parallel, choice C is the best answer.

    D:把and换成whlie,平添比较意思;a foreshadowing of用法awkward

(Although producer prices rose at an unexpectedly steep rate in September, analysts said that the increase resulted mostly from temporary factors,) while it did not necessarily foreshadow that there would be a resurgence of inflation.

    选了c之后返回来想b,觉得也有可能是said that...and that...

Seems C is the best answer,--no else is better...

But do you think there is mistake in the sentence: The analyst said that the increase WAS resulted from...(there is no WAS in the sentence...)

    WAS is not needed here.

result from itself is a intransitive verb

So we can say His illness resulted from bad food.

Therefore, the usage of result here is correct.

    E,there would be a resurgence of inflation,

    E选项罗嗦,且foreshadow与would be语义重复

回LS 的MM,did not foreshadow 和前面的 said 并列。

    而且,如果是两个 that 从句并列,需要用到 that...,and that... 结构,或者 said that... and foreshadowed that...

    did not foreshadow應該是跟resulted並列, 而不是跟前面的said並列
    這樣會變成analysts did not foreshow..., 不合句意
