Stick to the preferences of ETS who just systematically think that all "which" refer to the immediate word before them .
Contrary to what we learned in middle school, ETS don't think "which" can be used to refer to the whole sentence that precedes it.

In this question, it is obvious that California cannot "amounts to a little less than.. the population".
这道题选择A为什么不对呢？ minoity的人数减少了，语义上过的去阿？
但是d答案有歧义，可以说是down/ from 3/4个十年（7.5年）前，也可以理解为原文的从十年前的
75%下降。
a答案的which就是修饰minority，少数民族现在一共有少于1/2的全加州的人口。虽然确实修饰whites似乎更好。而且通过动词are可以看出，whites就是minority，所以which修饰哪一个都一样。
这题是XDF兰皮语法教程里的，朱江老师gave the answer is "D"
E 最大得错误是改变得原文得意思~~~~
E的意思下降了3/4
而原文的意思是从十年前的3/4下降到现在的不到1/2
D选项实际上省略了一些重复的地方~~~至于说出现从十年的3/4处开始下降这种歧义是不存在的~~~
A down from B , A B 在意义上要有可比性~~the number down from 1994~~这种说法是没有逻辑的~~~

我不同意你的看法 这里的amounting。。。说前面一句带来的影响 而是修饰non-Hispanic Whites，状语作主语的修饰成分，继续讨论

C 选项明显不对的。 最明显就是 non-Hispanic Whites 和 amounts 主谓不一致。
至于后面的 down from a decade ago, when they were nearly three-quarters. 把原来 from 的宾语变成时间状语后置了，变成时间状语修饰时间状语，问题太多了。这样的表达也十分 awkard。they 没指代，语法上只能指代 non-Hispanic Whites，可是逻辑上不对——“这些白人是四分之三”。
