答案是C，但是不明白为什么B是错的，but可以连接从句么？
如果不考虑regain和again的重复，B对么？

b选项不平行啊！who, whose and后面也应该连接一个whose或who这样的词，而且题意的逻辑上讲应该是reputation regains啊，所以怎么着都不对

regain 和again 是重复的，AB错。求问这里的 its 没有指代不清么？

1）Its的指代没有问题的。以B中为例whose reputation declines after death and (whose reputation) never regains its status again。its直接指代的是whose reputation。
2）这里的致命错误应该是，两个独立的句子，没有连词。毕竟whose不能引导非限制性定语从句。
