1.Manhattan 中说VAN原则，即Verb优于adj优于noun，所以the strengthening是吧strengthening用作了名词，造成了awkward，用其动词形式更好 2. dedicated to doing 是固定搭配 3. of是从属，北方的经济应用economy of north，如果是in，一般说sb或者某物在北方，而不是“北方的” 4.with 表示伴随，而through表示通过某种方式达到目的
