为什么不对，是what错了么，解释下

D Unlike cod and haddock,there are no legal size limits on catching monkfish,which contributes to its depletion by being overfished
E Unlike catching cod and haddoc,there are no legal size limits on cathching monkfish,contributing to their depletion because they are overfished
A是说对3者都没limits所以不选E是么。还有如果D不考虑which的话，its就用对了吧，修饰monkfish

correct one-relative clause modifying the noun "effects"

problems in e
1st. the modifier used to describe the effect is kinda of unclear or less clear than correct choice.
2nd. we would simply say :to investigate A rather than to investigate what the A is~
imo. redundant

2 for e, both structure(comparison structure--limits are being compared to catching cod and haddoc) and logic meaning are wrong/
btw, we should use their. monkfish is a plural noun.
