C的解释是，Correct. This sentence properly uses they do
in place of they do sell, a grammatically
correct verb.
1do/did+动词原型表强调的时候，动词原形是可以省略的么？以及，这里的do难道不是像manhattam 里面写的 use helping verbs to stand for longer verbs or verb phrases.也就是不省略的话应该是their wines are priced to sell, and they sell. 么？
2 还有就是以manhattam里面的例子来看：
I have never seen an aardvark, but my father has. 省略的部分补出是my father has seen an aardvark,也就是与前面一个主句的动宾一致，但是本题补出是，their wines are priced to sell, and they do sell. 省略的部分sell并不是前一句的动宾啊。。。Manhattam 的里面倒是也有一句our cars were designed to inspire inspire envy, and they do.但是我还是没法理解省略的部分应该是前面的哪一部分，有什么规律呢？还是只要出现过the exact verb form就可以省略啊。。。。

谢谢BABY姐~是不是意思就是，GMAT中出现的有些难以理解，但又并不是时常出现的句子，只要记住它以防下次遇到相同的类型就可以了~
刚刚又总结道一道题，OG 133 正确答案：Last week local shrimpers held a news conference to take some credit for the resurgence of the rare Kemp's ridley turtle, saying that their compliance with laws requiring turtle-excluder devices on shrimp nets is protectingadult sea turtles.
我之前没法儿理解主干，shrimpers held a conference, saying that their compliance with laws is protecting sea turtles. 中 is protecting的时态问题，刚好翻到姐姐讨论VING修饰时引用的RON关于现在进行时的一个用法说明，意思是
‘Is’ 用在主句中，表示的是正在进行的意思，但如果在从句中只是用来表示与主句动作同时，并且被视作背景或周围环境，当时的题目中相关的部分是（去掉了that）crests and troughs remain stationary although the airthat forms them is moving rapidly。虽然两题不是一样的结构，但是理解为is protecting 是强调说话的时候protect这个动作也正在进行？RON的解释是if the sentence is meant to emphasize that theaction is actually ongoing IN the present timeframe, then the present perfectis not the correct tense to use -- the present perfect (despite its name) doesnot necessarily indicate that the action continues through the presenttimeframe.this is, in fact, the only main function of thepresent progressive (is/are -ING) tense, which is therefore an excellent choicefor this sentence. 里面说is protecting是表现出了一种present-time frame 的感觉。。。是说表示了protect这个动作现在正在进行（而不是说话同时正在进行）？写着写着又晕了。。。-- by 会员 feathsea8 (2012/4/12 3:34:52)

好问题，老实说我还真不知道怎么从语法角度解释。（呼唤nn）
不过呢，我就用Ron的方法：
you may find that your best course of action is
simply to commit the acceptable versions to memory, and then look for sentences that look like them.
that's the entire way we learn language as kids -
imitate the "proper" speech of adults - so it may be the best way to go here, too. unless you have a
ridiculous memory, it's probably not worthwhile to try to memorize all the "rules" governing subtleties such as this one.
咱先来体会一下这两个句子：
Their wines
are priced to sell, and they
do.
[The vintners' wines
are priced to sell, and the vintners do sell.]
读的时候重读蓝色部分，强调前面的不定式（通常表示intention的含义），再强调后面的do（表示fact），体现出类“如愿以偿”的感觉。发现了吗——强调的部分，也正好是平行结构！
