标题: GWD11-Q12求助，已经想破脑袋了。。
In Brindon County, virtually all of the fasteners—such as nuts, bolts, and screws used by workshops and manufacturing firms have for several years been supplied by the Brindon Bolt Barn, a specialist wholesaler. In recent months many of Brindon County’s workshops and manufacturing firms have closed down, and no new ones have opened. Therefore, the Brindon Bolt Barn will undoubtedly show a sharp decline in sales volume and revenue for this year as compared to last year.
The argument depends on assuming which of the following?

A. Last year the Brindon Bolt Barn’s sales volume and revenue were significantly higher than they had been the previous year.
B. The workshops and manufacturing firms that have remained open have a smaller volume of work to do this year than they did last year.

这道题我选C，答案是E。我理解答案，但是我想问C选项，取非得到“BBB将成为唯一一家供应商”，这样的话BBB就能够接手其他退出的供应商的客户，因此销量和收入将不会大幅下降。取非削弱，所以选C。请问这么解释为什么不对呢？？大家帮帮我这个苦逼的小菜鸟吧~~

我觉得假设题应该是比较简单的，但是取非还是出现了错误，求大家帮帮忙吧~~

LS, you answered your own question.

取非得到“BBB将成为唯一一家供应商”，这样的话BBB就能够接手其他退出的供应商的客户，因此销量和收入将不会大幅下降。

That supports the conclusion, instead of making it fall apart!

可是题目的结论不是说会产生销量和收入的大幅下降吗？？我取非是削弱了呀....求指教

Okay, I read your explanation wrong.

If you negate B) you have:
Soon the Brindon Bolt Barn might (or might not) no longer be the only significant supplier of fasteners to Brindon County’s workshops.

If this is true, BBB could have decreasing sales if it has no other clients. Or if BBB has other clients and expands its client base in other counties, it might avoid decreasing sales.

Therefore, the conclusion might still holds. Thus, B) is not necessary.

你是不是写错啦？你分析的是C呀，请问为什么B. The workshops and manufacturing firms that have remained open have a smaller volume of work to do this year than they did last year
不对呢？生产商的工作量少了，不说明需要的材料也少了吗

C的意思是：
BBB很快不会成为workshop的唯一赞助商------------取非-----------BBB依旧是workshop的唯一赞助商
(而不是你说的“BBB将成为唯一一家供应商”，注意一个词组是''no longer')

对于取非之后产生的影响有两种理解：
a.对于BBB而言，因为workshop倒闭了，而BBB是唯一赞助商，因此对BBB销量的影响很大，没有削弱结论
b.对于workshop而言，本来都倒闭了，肯定也不需要BBB的东西，而BBB又是唯一赞助商，对于BBB的销量还是有很大影响，没有削弱结论

所以，C是错滴~
