我是这么分析的,有点拗口,还在研究中。
....; their wines are priced to sell
, and they do(sell).
....;
their wines are priced to sell
and they do(sell).
此处运用manhattan关于and的用法来解释,
and有两个用法:
(1) list----- a, b, and c
(2)two main clause------S V O, and S V O.( 我的总结是
其中前后两个句子的句子意思通常无明显逻辑关系)
所以此处and属于list的用法并列两个句子,
并且manhattan特别强调说在list用法连接句子时comma是optional的,所以句子可写为:
....;
their wines are priced to sell and
they do(sell).这样看起来就好理解些了,并列的结构很强,所以their wines=they就很难说歧义了。

关于这个they指代什么我再研究研究,但关于pronounce的用法,我结合Manhattan有一些感悟:
Using the following rules to split
(1)number, antecedent and pronounce
must be agree in number. (这是唯一一条在书面表达中不用怀疑的用法)
(2)gender,antecedent and pronounce
must be agree in gender.(这一条很少考到,举个OG里的例子,Everyone has
his or her opinion.)
(3)repeats, repeated pronounce are presumed to refer to the same antecedent, but not absolute. (这条很难说清楚,就好像Manhattan SC 每次都很无耻的o(∩_∩)o说一句 usually the choice has other obvious problems, 所以不推荐用这样一条rule去排除)
