become severe enough for the United States Fish and Wildlife Service quite possibly to list it as an
endangered species in the near future.
(A) severe enough for the United States Fish and Wildlife Service quite possibly to list it
(B) severe enough so that the United States Fish and Wildlife Service could well list them
(C) severe enough for it quite possibly to be listed by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service
(D) so severe that the United States Fish and Wildlife Service could well list it
(E) so severe that they could well be listed by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service 在CD上没有找到任何一个让我信服的答案,经过自己的分析发现选D而不选A的原因在于A选项的to list应该用的是被动 因为整句话的逻辑主语是frog作者: bobdog159 时间: 2012-3-25 19:30
enough for sb to do sth作者: bobdog159 时间: 2012-3-25 19:34
表示主观满足,不正式。和逻辑主语没有什么关系吧作者: 典座 时间: 2020-1-22 23:24
刚查到曼哈顿论坛上对A的解释——
A的错误在于没有make sense。Enough for…和quite possibly矛盾,类比:Jane足够高可能摸到门槛,足够高和可能相矛盾。
关于enough——
enough: a. just followed by a noun (there is enough topsoil for the front garden, but not enough for the back garden)
b. the noun modified by enough is the DIRECT OBJECT of the following verb: (there are not enough questions for James to study -- note that "questions" is the direct object of "study")
