The sentence contains the structure of "so...that..", therefore A is incorrect.

"SO COLD"中不能理解成SO用于强调COLD，只能用于SO...THAT结构中吗？

没有错.原句是说冰很少融化,如果融化了(were it to do so),就会造成水面上升.

我倾向于C。so reflective之前省略了is。

偶觉得 little polar ice 也有问题，是little 修饰polar然后一起修饰ice呢还是little修饰polar ice？容易引起歧异；

were it to do so,的意思明白了， it 指代 “the polar ice”。但是 the polar ice 在前面的半句中只在that后面出现，不是句子的主语，为什么it（作为后半句的主语）可以指代它呢？

这个代词的指代，如果前面有很多（单复数吻合的）名词的话，语法上应该指代哪一个啊？最近的？主语？还是根据意思选最合适的？（最后这个好像不对吧。）
