现在完成时强调的过去一直到现在，但不表示对将来有任何暗示，所以，but no longer do so就很容易理解了，因为将来的状况可能发生变化。

我觉得B错的一败涂地. 首先时态前后不对应. constituted 无论和are或者calls都不对应. 后两者都是现在时. 其次so that 的结构要完整.

我想你是钻牛角尖了. "在B加that 就better" 并没说加了that 这个选项就对了啊.

在第一种情况下，动作对于现在只有成果性的影响，和汉语的“已经做过……”相似。og解释中说"no longer do so"是因为constitute不是持续性动词，如果这么使用，就相当于表示一个已经发生过的动作，而题干中的说法是从现在的眼光来考量。举一个例子：

"England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland constitute the United kingdom."如果改成“have constituted"是很别扭的——联合王国已经被……组成了，就好像在说现在部组成了一样，如果现在还想要谈到联合王国，还得再组成一次。

og 说那样better的意思是说这样的结构应该有that，并不是说加上that就对了。

再问一下大家，因为比较疑惑

仔细看看og的这段解释，他先说了B中的时态有问题，错误！再说B的形式上的问题，如果加上that， B的形式是可以接受的！他们的意思只是说so ....that ...这种形式也是可以接受的，不只是so ... as to..才对！而且他们还说了B中that的省略也不是致命的（although the omission of that is not ungrammatical）！所以说来说去，B中的致命错误就是时态。

关于现在完成时：

现在完成时的谓语动词不一定持续到现在：

I have seen wolves in the forest. (现在我没有看见狼）

I have read that book but did not get it.（我目前没有读那本书）

一些持续到现在的动作的谓语动词应该是持续性的动作：

He has lived here all his life.(现在仍然居住在那里）

I have stayed here for a week.（现在还呆在那里）

vezduo能否提供上述解释得出处?划线句子的时态太怪了，在没有明显时间约束的情况前面用现在时而后面用过去时，感觉无法解释啊。要么是过去完成时+过去时，要么是现在完成时+一般现在时，现在完成时和一般现在时混在一个句子里很不合理。
