大家倾向于选E,可是这里的erosion, prehistoric glacier movement 都是动作性名词，与and ancient, gold-bearing riverbeds 不一样呀。想问一下D错在什么地方了

我觉得D中 putting 只有修饰 volcanic activity

而E中 put 是三个都是主词

个人意见请多指教

还是不明白啊，哪位高人指点一下句子结构？？？e的thrust是名词么？

哦……thrust动词被动形式做定语。没看到后面的by，选错了。气死我了……

D的错误很明显： sentence fragment，since引导的原因状语从句缺少谓语，E则不然，put是三个并列主语的谓语动词。

E. since erosion, prehistoric glacier movement, and ancient, gold-bearing riverbeds thrust to the surface by volcanic activity put gold literally within reach of

thrust过去式和过去分词都是thrust

相同的还有 split、upset、spread、shed等

我是一菜菜,不知道reach for reach of 是否有区别呢?!问题是不是出在这里了?!

这里reach是名词，字典上查到的有跟for也有跟of

1.He made a reach for the gun。他伸手去拿枪。这句里 reach的意思是 an act or instance of reaching，

2.If you are within reach of my voice， please answer。如果你能听到我，请回答。这里的reach的意思是the extent or range of something's application, effect, or influence

我手头上的是韦氏高阶美语英汉双解，reach在1中为可数，2中是不可数。但我在网上查的很多都没提可数，不可数的情况。

但本题来看，感觉还是reach后跟of更符合句意。请指正。

我也没有看出来这样的谓语关系，thrust我直接当动词双谓语判错了，没想到是done结构做后置定语
