我做这类题有两个个原则：
1.当so .... that.... 和so ....as to 都正确时优选so...as to....因为so as to 较so that来的简洁
2.那什么时候so as to不正确的呢？
1）把so as to句型改成so that 句型如果主句和that引导的从句时态不一致则不能用so as to 改变

debilitating that it has完成时 become an economic drain on
many developing countries.
(A)it is so debilitating that it has become an
economic
(B)it is of such debilitation, it has become an

2）so as to前面一定只能加单一的主谓结构，否则不能用so as to ,会引起歧义的

Queen Catherine annulled 不是单一的主谓结构so as to marry Anne Boleyn.

(A)so as to marry
(B)and so could be married to
(C)to be married to
(D)so that he could marry
(E)in order that he would marry
运用这两个原则应该就不会错了的

嗯嗯我又回去看了一下以前的讨论帖子，可能应该说成简单的系表结构好一点的呢，因为so后面用的是adj，所以一般用在系表结构中
这是前辈的一番分析希望对你有用
So as to和so…that都可以表示如此…以致，不同点在于前者要求逻辑主语始终一致，而后者无此要求。因此前者的使用要特别小心，一般来说，常常用于简单系表结构。在这种结构中，前者通常要比后者好，因为它更简洁。因此，楼主认为OG提倡用后者是不准确的，要看具体的环境。此外，such…as to…和such… that…一般是错误的，因为他们一般没有So as to和so…that简洁。举例如下：

OG88. The Emperor Augustus, it appears, commissioned an idealized sculpture portrait, the features of which are so unrealistic as to constitute what one scholar calls an "artificial face."

(A) so unrealistic as to constitute

简单系表结构，逻辑主语一致，用前者不用后者，选A；B缺少that，即便有that也不如A简洁；C选项unable to be done错误，要用can代替；D、E出现enough，在GMAT考试中常常作为So as to和so…that的干扰选现。
