    were it to do so 就是if it were to do so, 的省略if 用法，是與未來事實相反的假設句型

    試問要是海水真上升250ft, 那還得了，就像題目所說，全世界都要給淹了

    這讓我想到了后天那部片呢

    后半句明显是个虚拟主句，所以前面要用虚拟的条件句. or else没有这样的含义.

    请NN指点，在GWD3 里有道一模一样的题目

    但是答案B是is so reflective that little of the polar ice melts during the summer; were it not to do so,

    还是选B,这里我想请问的是,were it not to do so和were it to do so有啥不同，还是前面那个not纯属题目的typo?我开始还觉得加了not更为合理呢

    未化线的句子中be动词是are,而化线部分省略的明显是is,这样的省略是可以接受的么

    "it" in B refers to "polar ice",

    is so reflective that little of the polar ice melts during the summer; were it to do so, = if the polar ice were to melt
