why? 我就是根据完成时态来排除的。从句子意思来看，这是发生在过去的事情，没有必要用现在完成时表示迄今为止的含义.

這題肯定是ABC 選一個，我看法類似，若有既定的年代，過去簡單式即可

B中除了完成时态错误以外（现在完成时可以表示过去发生的事情，和一般过去时互换，但是只是在事情发生的时间不确定的情况下），B中意思变成了three separate sewer systems在1876 和 1904 去服务于手都波士顿，曲解了题目的原意，原文中的 between 1876 and 1904 是修饰the construction的；由此可以引申在改错中经常出现的修饰语位置变换所产生的句意改变的问题，非常多，一定要注意修饰语和被修饰对象，这就是为什么通常要求修饰语紧跟被修饰对象而不能轻易变换位置，当然关键还要看逻辑意思表达的合理性！

paopao：修饰语的比较麻烦，可以挑出来集中看，看看OG解释，读出它的歧义，N人心经里一些大N的感想里也有提到部分的。

感觉B的错误在于时态

不在于between..and的结构

因为

BConcerns about public health have led to the construction of three separate sewer systems between 1876 and 1904 to serve

between 1876 and 1904仍是修饰constrction 的

如果要修饰to serve ...

要这样改才对

B选项不对；

看一个例句：

Tourist trips of all kinds in Britain rose by 10.5% between 1977 and 1987.

这里面的 between 1977 and 1987很明显不是修饰10.5%的。

再看一个：Between 1914 and 1920 large parts of Albania were occupied by the Italians...

注意的是这里的between 1876 and 1904是时间状语，不同于N between B and C +N这样的结构。

我也觉得between应该修饰construction，要是放在后面就有歧义了！

而且有明显的过去时间状语必须用一般过去时

弱弱的问一句，时间状语不是应该用来修饰整个句子，或者是动词，在这里也就是led，怎么变成可以修饰名词了？？

我觉得应该是the construction (which is) between 1876 and 1904

另外,我怎么看不懂11楼leeon nn 举的例子的意思啊

是在说他举的例子都是时间状语

而这题的between是做定语从句修饰construction吗?

那这里

跟

(Concerns about public health) (have led to)( the construction of three separate sewer systems between 1876 and 1904 )(to serve）

的差别在一个做状语一个做定语吗?

那要怎么区分是做状语还是做定语啊

我推测B选中between可以做定语修饰construction也可以做状语修饰后面的to serve,所以会造成歧义,而选项A

则排除了这个歧义,故比B好

是这样吗?????

between and 修饰有歧义，可能修饰led，就像C的错误。而A中sth between 1876 and 1904 of这个结构就不可能出现错误了。个人感觉
