我想问一下,og 对这道题目的cde答案,与ab答案中的and 和as well as的解释,我觉得不太明白。为何用and man too 的时候会产生"business在女生中的流行导致了在男生中的流行";as well as for man就会有“以前business只是在男生中间流行,而现在变得男女都流行”的意思呢?and 与as well as的区别在哪里呢?
197. In the fall of 1985, only 10 percent of the women entering college planned to major in education, while 28 percent chose business, making it the most popular major for women as well as for men.
(A) as well as for men
(B) as well as the men
(C) and men too
(D) and men as well(A)
(E) and also men
In addition, by using the simple coordinate conjunction and, C, D, and E create the illogical impression that the decision of 28 percent of the women entering college in 1985 to choose business as a major also made the major the most popular among men. The conjunction as well as implies that business had already been the most popular major for men and that in 1985, for the first time, it became the most popular major for both sexes.
og213也有as well as 与and的区别,
here is a link to the difference between "and" and "as well as"

In addition, by using the simple coordinate conjunction and, C, D, and E create the illogical impression that the decision of 28 percent of the women entering college in 1985 to choose business as a major also made the major the most popular among men. The conjunction as well as implies that business had already been the most popular major for men and that in 1985, for the first time, it became the most popular major for both sexes.
C, D, and E create the illogical impression that the decision of 28 percent of the women entering college in 1985 to choose business as a major also made the major the most popular among men.
有28%女性选择business,(这个决定)使得business成为女性和男性间最受欢迎的课(for women and men)
as well as implies that business had already been the most popular major for men and that in 1985, for the first time, it became the most popular major for both sexes
I think your understanding is right
有28%女性选择business,(这个决定)使得business成为女性和男性间最受欢迎的课(for women and men)
because 28% chose business this made business成为女性间最受欢迎的课, but before it happen, business was already 男性间最受欢迎的课. so when "28% chose" happend, business became the most popular major in both sexes
選A的理由 (1)平衡 the most popular major for women as well as for men.
197. In the fall of 1985, only 10 percent of the women entering college planned to major in education, while 28 percent chose business, making it the most popular major for women as well as for men.
(A) as well as for men
(B) as well as the men
(C) and men too
(D) and men as well(A)
(E) and also men
...while 28 percent chose business, making it the most popular major for woman and (making it the most popular major) for men.
...while 28 percent chose business, making it the most popular major for woman, as well as for men 黄色部分同作for的宾语。
OG解释;
C, D,and E create the illogical impression that the decision of 28 percent of the women entering college in 1985 to choose business as a major also made the major the most popular among men.
The conjunction as well as implies that business had already been the most popular major for men and that in 1985, for the first time, it became the most popular major for both sexes 28%的女性选择商科这一事实使商科同时成为最受男性和女性欢迎的专业。
Two elements connected by a coordinate conjunction should be expressed in parallel form. Only A, the best choice, correctly observes this rule (the most popular major for women as well as for men). B, C, D, and E omit the necessary for in the second element. In addition, by using the simple coordinate conjunction and, C, D, and E create the illogical impression that the decision of 28 percent of the women entering college in 1985 to choose business as a major also made the major the most popular among men. The conjunction as well as implies that business had already been the most popular major for men and that in 1985, for the first time, it became the most popular major for both sexes.
and和as well as 且不去说他,此题为什么不能省略for ? D : for women and men as well语法上就很好呀!women和men都被for所修饰。同时最后使用了as well也体现了“business had already been the most popular major for men and that in 1985, for the first time, it became the most popular major for both sexes”又有什么不对了?
The conjunction as well as implies that business had already been the most popular major for men and that in 1985, for the first time, it became the most popular major for both sexes 28%的女性选择商科这一事实使商科同时成为最受男性和女性欢迎的专业。
as well as暗含了两点:
as well as 有侧重, and 完全对等.
