楼主很是郁闷啊，discovery怎么能成为后面has nearly doubled the number of these artifacts known to exist.的逻辑主语啊，不是应该是21只狗骨骸两倍于现存已知道的吗？ 求教大牛

這個發現使已存在的數目兩倍化.
即是, 原本 10 個, 因為這發現, 數目變得更多.

因为有has，所以主语一定是单数。

找个e-e dictionary，查double作为动词的用法。这题太典型了，根据后面的主干"has nearly doubled the number of these artifacts known to exist"，直接判断——主语核心词必须是discovery，别的不用看了，直接选定E.

33. to be or have twice as much as: Income doubled expenditure.

b. to add a new layer of planking or ceiling to (an old wooden hull).





Double作为vt的两种典型用法：
1. The baby doubled its weight in a year.
2. Income doubled expenditure.

你不妨自己总结下，有什么规律。这题就是典型的第一种用法：The baby doubled its weight in a year.
