知道A中annually明显错了可是E中by preventing动词 ..through improved worker performance 名词,这也平行吗？
我倒是觉得A项去掉annually之后很平行，根据prep语法说improved优于improving，可是人家前面用的也是preventing而不是prevented呀？
求指教！！！

LZ在做题的时候不要把语法摆在句子的语意前面考虑（当然不是绝对性的语法错误）。LZ的平行是强加给这道题了。through后面表达的时候一种方法，一种手段，他可以是Ving的形式，也可以是n.形式。我们再理解一下E选项through improved worker performance是通过提升了的工人的表现。performance前面的都是他的定语，理解起来没有问题。这道题并不需要平行。而且他也是剩下没毛病选项里最好的。

我的想法这道题目不用完全工整的平行。。。save........, gain.....平行。。。
by preventing没错。。by doing something 表示手段，
D和E比较纠结。。我觉得E比D更简洁。D用的是动名词。形容词比动名词简洁

但是in的表达有“在....方面的意思”，而这道题有个进一步的平行

save xxx by doing sth（/noun) and gain xxx through xxx

by和through都有通过“什么方法”的意思，这里要表达的是save/gain各自通过什么方法来完成的这种平行的表达

could save...and gain...是平行的

查看平行的一种方法就是看，主语是否一致，sb could save的主语是否同样也是gain的主语

但是而这道题有个进一步的平行表达，考的不仅仅是save/gain的平行

曼哈顿那本书，应该对grammar, meaning, concise有一个很明确的hierarchy。concise是在最后的。千万别把concise用在grammar前面来排题，否则会掉入GMAT设下的各种陷阱

这道题应该先吧平行问题全部排掉后，实在没有剩下其他的情况下在考虑concise的情况，可是这题的DE在平行上有区别，所以不能用“形容词比动名词简洁”这个原则排题。这个标题，这个排题思路，我记得是在曼哈顿书advanced几个篇章里的。里面也是明确说明了，这个方法必须是在前几个基本篇章的“招数，杀招“都用光后再使用的，也不是绝对性的。

不是所有的错误等级都是一样的，如果”在你的眼睛里，所有这类简洁性和grammar,meaning的错误是相同等级的话，你的SC会suffer a lot"

这题我就选了D

我觉得这意思就是在illness prevention方面（illness prevention也要花钱的嘛）能省下很多钱，而不是通过preventing illness能省下很多钱
