同谓语修饰到底wordy不？？费话不多说，上题！

例题

OG12-88

答案D

当然可以通过both的平行结构迅速得到答案，但是这里OG居然说了这样一句话是 the use of a relative clause( who was a jazz pianist…) or anappositive( the jazz pianist…) introduces necessary wordiness and grammaticalcomplexity.
同位语也wordy？？
而OG44中正确句子又是The plot of The Bostonians centers on therivalry that develops between Olive Chancellor, an active feminist, and BasilRansom, her charming and cynical cousin Ransom, when they find themselves drawnto the same radiant young woman whose talent forpublic speaking has won her an ardent following.
这个难道要用the best of the worst来说？？
迷惑啊~~

同位语也有很多种形式哇~
同位结构的形式

(1)名词性同位语：名词解释名词。（以下三种，第二个n.后可以跟修饰词）

i.N., n.;

ii.n., a/an + n.或a/an + n., n.;

iii.the + n., n.（前面的the + n 为同位结构）

(2)内容具体化同位结构：抽象名词（theory/evidence/belief/principle）+that 从句，that 从句对抽象名词进行具体化解释（注意与of 结构的区别），that从句部分才是同位语。(that是小品词，连词，和一般的名词性that分句中的that一样)

(3)概括性同位语：用一个概括性的名词去概括前面的修饰对象：短语/句子，n. +that/doing/done...

(4)名词重复性同位结构：n,n（重复所修饰的名词）+that 定语从句

(5)代词代替性同位结构：n,one/ones+that 定语从句

像是这种作为非抽象名词的同位语的情况，同样是同位语就要根据简洁性来判断啦~名词从简洁性出发，总是优于从句的哇~

不是同位语和定语从句哆嗦呀~
其实只要想一下限制性定语，非限制性定语，同位语，定语从句这几个的作用，无非都是对n.做一个限定，或者是修饰的作用。

限制性定语就好像是adj.的作用了，限制性定语从句的作用也是一样，像n+Ving/V.ed都是这样的。
而同位语，非限制定语从句都是对n.的一种补充说明~

在这道题里面道题里面，用前置的定语限定n.最简单，也最容易理解，为什么要用同位语，或者是定语从句去说呢~
就像A young man is singing.就很好了，不用A man who is young is singing.了~

所以OG的解释这里同位语和定语从句的wordy是相对的，不是绝对的~

both in xx and in ，其他选项都没有后边那个in啊~
PS，我觉得OG说wordy，是因为Thelonious Monk ，the Jazz pianist and composer ，里的那个“the”
试着用汉语感觉一下：小明，那个爵士钢琴家和作曲家，怎么怎么样。。。是不是感觉the很wordy了？

不知道我这种是不是歪门邪说啊，找不到理论根据的。。
