IF 係CLAUSE?

Rising inventories, if not accompanied by corresponding increases in sales, can lead ....
點解這句沒有了SUBJECT?是不是被省略了?

中间部分为插入语，补充主语。

这样好理解了吧！

因為補主語, 所以主語不用再出現?! 明白了!
但如果插入語內有主語, 是不是錯??

en .....You mean mention the Subject again in 插入语部分？是这样的，GMAT语法和表意要求简洁明了，如果重复写成Rising inventories, if （Rising inventories are）not accompanied by corresponding increases in sales, can lead to production cutbacks that would hamper economic growth

then, it will sound very awkward and wordy!没有这个必要加在插入语。看，if 插入语部分由逗号隔开，显得很清晰。阅读时留意Subject and Veb,找主干会好理解一些！
