标题: 求解答~系动词和实意动词到底能不能平行？~
今天看manhattan SC 有一个正确例句 The agency is not a fully independant entity but instead derives its authority from Congress.
后面注解是the verb is and derives are paralleled.

之前有看过prep80笔记自己也随手从里面摘了一些其中有一条系动词和实意动词不能平行。

现在很迷惑 ~到底能不能平行呢？..有没有知道的童鞋啊？~

我以前一直也这么觉得~所以看prep的时候还特意记了下来结果现在好像又矛盾了><...

昨天刚讨论了这个问题，不过我也不确定

因为OG42的解释有说这样的parallelism存在问题，superficial parallelism
但这两道题都是and，且，我们可以从语义上去分析，来得出谁和谁平行的结论

至于这算a general rule，还是具体问题具体分析，我不知道，呼唤讨论。

看Manhattan SC p.56-57
我觉得是从意思出发，避免superficial parallelism

你给的句子正确的，因为有两层parallelism，非常明确

The agency is not a fully independant entity
but instead
derives its authority from Congress.

还有linking verb两侧的平行：

The agency
is not
a fully independant entity

我现在的总结是，一切从意思出发，没有说“系动词和实意动词不能平行”这样100%的规则

平行需要 grammatically & logically parallel
