OG的全划线题。求教大牛，答案选A

CE中in1932应该用一般时态，不应该用完成时态。DB中句子重心发生变化，原句强调的是虽然all over North America都有，但是还是以the New Mexico site命名，BD强调的是虽然以the New Mexico site命名，但是all over North America都有。而且D中even though---but的结构很诡异。
说实话这题我也没什么思路，纯粹根据答案去凑推理过程，望NN指导。

while的句型有2个功能：1. contrast，2.at the same time
虽然通常while句子开头表示contrast，但是在这个句子里用的没有表达出contrast的含义，因为：Clovis points are spear points xxx, they have been found all over North America xxx这是主干， 吧修饰内容划区后就没有contrast表达出来

此外那个and named 也错了

they have been found all over North America,
and named for the New Mexico site where they
have been fi rst discovered in 1932----这么表达就是they ahve been xxx and (they have been) named for ....----name不是用have been 时态的

这个选项句子结构有问题：noun（spear points ....), Clovis points   but xxxx (把插入的even though句子划去）余下的句子结构fragment，所以不对

although表达contrast的意思，那么句义就必须要体现出对比
这里是although (Clovis points) nnamed for the New Mexico site, clovis points are spear poinits xxxx and have been found，没有体现出对比的句义（命名和spear points没有对比）

谢谢啊。。分析的那么到位，不过这样大综合的题目真的很头疼，感觉3分钟都可能做不完。
有点问题是 E选项 over north America,and named for the New....这个and应该不是和前面句子共用主语吧，逗号加and是不是应该是连接一个句子，但是原句的and后面不是一个句子。

总结： 全划线部分考点——meaning (focused on ambiguity and illogic) & modifier (the placement of modifier)

那么今后遇到全划线题目，我会这么去做（以这道题为例）：
看到全划线，要阅读题干明白大致意思
Even though Clovis points, (spear points with
longitudinal grooves chipped onto their faces,) have
been found all over North America, they are named for
the New Mexico site where they were first discovered
in 1932.
首先，当我读到... Clovis points, spear points ....的时候，感觉points重复了一下，头脑立刻想到两种情形：平行并列，或者同位语修饰
非常迅速的扫过"spear points with ..."这个分句的时候，确定属于同位语修饰，那么这是一个插入成分，暂时不用管它啥意思

读完全句，要有逻辑框架，这句子逻辑上形成contrast:  
where they have been found (all over ....) vs. the name (a site ... first discovered)
以上是提炼出来的大意
然后看作者表达logical relationship，用的词是"even though"，没问题——全划线句子，对逻辑词汇要高度关注！
接着看，体现contrast的信息出现在句子主干，而那个我晃一眼就过去的插入语成分和作者想要表达的contrast无关，也就是说，作者正确地把次要信息放在了插入语的位置上。

这样，我觉得A表达挺好的，于是我就花很短的时间浏览其他项，我的关注点只有：1.逻辑意思，关注表逻辑的词汇，是否体现了contrast; 2.modifier的问题，是否重要信息在主干、次要信息在插入，然后插入的位置对不对。因为看得快，我也许就管不到什么动词形式之类的语法问题了。
B-次要信息在主干
C-一个大杂烩，体现不出contrast
D-"even though ... but were" 英文里不能成对出现，看到直接排出了
E-"while 次要，主要1，主要2"   逻辑意思不对
于是确定选A。

总结，长划线句子，我们知道他考meaning & modifier，就可以大大提高正确率和做题速度

A，正确
B，逻辑倒置
C，失去逻辑 where做地点状语错。
D，逻辑倒置，even though和but混搭
E，失去逻辑
