Q30:

Socially and environmentally responsible investing is on the rise: last year in the United States, over $2 trillion was invested in funds that screen companies according to a variety of criteria such as adherence to labor standards, protection of the environment, and observance of human rights.

看得我眼晕没看出最终的讨论结果。

tupilmontreal:A 提醒注意such as 和such ~ as的区别（我觉得很对，such + a variety of ~as是很别扭，因为such表示上文题过的）

tianwan，in accordance with没有逻辑主语的问题，那是说according to一定要表达“主语主动根据什么事情“的意思么？in accordance with在句子里位置是修饰companies，还是做be invested的状语？

这道题倒是一个很麻烦的题目，我刚开始也同意A，看了tiawan的解释，觉得according to ，在OG中出现确实都是有逻辑主语，一般，according to.... , who....。weiyu提到了特例说according to也有和...一致的意思。谁翻一下词典，我今天查不了。

这一点我查了词典，并不成立，词典中有好多例子。

in accordance with：

If something is done in accordence with a particular rule or system ,it is done in the way that the rule or system says that it should be done.

Entries which are not in accordance with the rules will be dusqualified.

这道题我同意D，纯粹逻辑意思。

D的意思投资了多于两万亿美元的资金用来支持公司和这些标准相一致。如.........

这道题的关键不在according to还是in accordance with上吧！

到底应该是such a variety of ... as 还是 a variety of ... such as呢？

后者读上去更舒服一点么！

还是A吧。

1）in accordance with在这里好象不能修饰screen，也不能限定companies；according to刚好。

2）such a variety of criteria as有‘这么多的准则’的意思，有歧义

Should probably be A). A lot of SC questions are actually taken from the articles, reports, or research out there.

I am not 100% sure but this might be taken from the report below (I was just googling the phrase):

This has taken a number of forms, including the channeling of money into investment funds that screen companies according to a variety of criteria, such as labor standards, environmental protection, and human rights.

"According to" also sounds so much cleaner than "in accordance to" according to my Canadian friends.

窃以为应该是A,根据题目意思来判断：

题干中screen作动词有“审查，遴选”的意思，如果such用在variety前面则强调标准之多，与句意不符，题干只是想要解释审查公司主要有哪几项标准，并没有要强调“多”的程度的意思；

而such放在后面则强调根据什么样的标准来选择companies.，重心在criteria,与句意符合。

选A，只看such as，根据句子前后意思，这里such应该强调criteria而不是variety。而且，criteria是复数，指三个标准A，B and C；但a variety是单数怎么能指A，B and C呢？因此要排除D。

我觉得这里用criteria such as A, B and C / such criteria as A, B and C都行，但such a variety of criteria as A, B and C肯定不行。

前为复数名词则后不能有只一个A，要有B and C

看了很多前辈的解析，也看了很多例句，感觉

1. according to 似乎有修饰整句话，整个动作的含义；

2. 而in accordance with似乎仅有修饰其逻辑主语的作用。

不知这样理解是否得当，请大牛指教。
