各位大侠求解释啊完全不知道为什么选C
Any medical test will sometimes fail to detect a condition when it is present and indicate that there is one when it is not.
B) when a condition is present and indicate that there is one
C) a condition when it is present and indicate that it is present
D) when a condition is present and indicate its presence
E) the presence of a condition when it is there and indicate its presence

愚见：
骨架结构：test fail to detect sth and indicate sth
肉：detect condition(宾语) indicate that it is present（宾语从句）
皮毛：两个时间状语从句 when 。。。。。
所以主要考察平行结构。

2楼正解。划线后那个when从句已经给了平行的暗示。
detect和indicate并列。
平行的结构是两个 v+o+when从句。 BD不符合并列关系，detect没宾语直接when句子了。
剩下ace，根据简洁性和句意很容易排除ae。

为什么不是E呢，个人觉得E比c简洁，而且意思表示得也很明白。只是改变了detect 的对象，从condition 变成了presence,但是在主句的错误的基础上，改变也是未尝不可呀。。

E不比C简洁啊，根据manhattan形容词是比名词简洁的~

最简单的做法是，后面既然是it is not，我又知道这里是转折，那么前面一定是it is balabala，但是这题很无聊，我只想说，这种题你在考场上永远见不到

如果选了E，你就不知道那个it代指谁了。有可能是presence，也有可能是condition。

首先，detect是一个及物动词，要接宾语，所以可以排除BD。
然后E中it指代模糊，不知道指presence还是condition，放一边。
最后剩AC。AC的不同是indicate that 后面的那一部分。从未划线的when it is not可以看出，用it is present跟其平行。而不能用 there is one when it is not。因为，如果要用这个的话起码也是there is one when there is not这样。
