标题: consultant出了consulting firm还能做什么？ [打印本页]

标题: consultant出了consulting firm还能做什么？
由于在纠结essay里的career planning，弱弱地问一下以下这个问题，希望各位大侠可以慷慨指点。

management and strategy方面的属于generalists类别的consultants，自毕业起在咨询公司待了5年左右的时间（从analyst做起，应该处在associate/consultant的位置）。

优势在于知道各个function之间的联系，了解行业，problem solving abilities
和 soft skills都很强；劣势在于没有什么精通的area，没有什么technical上的优势。
感觉这样的人才出了consulting firm就只能做CEO、COO，而问题是CEO、COO也
当然不是随便给做了几年consulting的人当的。

所以想问一下这样的人才如果5年左右出consulting firm可以并且有人愿意雇用他们做些什么呢？

here's my guess
1. start up, if you have good idea/team/connections
2. PE, deal-sourcing + DD
3. Corporate development for F500 or 民企 or 国企
4. banking, associate level = post mba
5. go back to consulting,

I really want to know the corporate development for F500, till now I didn't find the guys back to 国企；
If the area in Consulting firm is strategy but not focus on one of the lines such as CRM, SCM and so on, what kind of position the corporate will provide?
The strategy department in the group corporate?
