这个成绩对希望申请Top20的中国申请人来说，稍微有点低了，当然要看你的其他方面，比如工作经验，Essay等等，每年都有GMAT低于700的朋友去了顶尖学校，比如去年的Smile（670？or 680?）去了Haas，今年的JJboy（690）去了Kellogg，当然他们的背景都非常强了。去年Dreambox申请Duke没有被录取，被告知700的GMAT太低，建议重考，重考得到730，今年被Duke录取。
各个申请的credential要综合起来看，高分数自然能增加竞争力，但如果package里其它因素不怎么地的话，照样白搭；vice versa
就连最TOP的wharton今年在大陆招的都有GMAT不足700的，更可以说明分数并不能说明一切。
当然如果时间允许的话，不妨再考一次。然而再考一次考750和650的几率一样。看你的时间安排跟对自己的信心了。

申请MBA的几个要素包括：GMAT、TOEFL、GPA、Essay、Recommendation Letter、Resume、Interview。其中Essay的重要性最高了。你的背景属于比较Traditional的申请人，但是工作经验似乎有点少，光从你提供的信息，很难作出更多的判断。比方说，同样是Lead一个Project，不同的人的做法就不同，从这些过程而不是项目的性质本身，可以反映一个人的Personality、Leadership、Teamwork等，例如，碰到困难，你是如何鼓励团队成员的；碰到和上级的意见不一，你是如何处理的。所以，我认为，不管什么工作都可能是好的申请题材，关键是要从一个“过程”里面发掘自己。Adcom希望了解的不是你做了什么，这些从Resume就可以看出来，他们希望看到的是你是如何做的，你为什么这样做。

but still one question: how can i show that i know everything about the school? namely, if no source other than the web can i access, what kind of info should i acquire? and what aspect of the school should i stress?
680 is not bad, your workinge expereince and potienal to be a leader is equally important.

But my concern is that whether the general infomation about a school is enough during essay-writing and interviewing. Should (or can) I supplement materials that show my knowledge of their first-rate specialities or professors in which I am interested? If positive, how deeply?
