我选择的是A,因为从原文推by wealthier, better-educated, and more polished people 和by him并列.为什么不对. wu.......

读出这句话的意思：应该是世界受比他wealthier, better-educated, and more polished 的人控制，换成by him，意思变成成什么了。

原文是by ... people,前面是一系列的定语,考虑平行对称结构,那也应该是 by him.还是不懂

a world dominated by wealthier, better-educated, and more polished people than he关键是这句话中的比较对象，读出这句话的意思之后，表达的是比他更富裕，教育更好，更有教养的人控制了这个世界。而不是a world dominated by wealthier, better-educated, and more polished people than （dominated by） him。

这题还是不太明白。两个问题：

1.假设（只是假设）这题比的不是people而是dominated by，那么在he之前能把dominated by全部省略掉吗？不需要保留介词by吗？

2.为什么people和he的比较就不能用宾格呢？例句：His brother John, who is five years older than him, and George,who is three years older than him...不都是than him吗？
难道一定要be＋形容词比较级才能＋than him？

我觉得E中的than he是than he was的简写，似乎如果是dominated by he的省略的话，by应该留下来。

这里就是两个人的比较,但是777中是than he was是表示一种状态的比较,举个例子,大全10. A large rise in the number of housing starts in the coming year should boost new construction dollars by several billion dollars, making the construction industry’s economic health much more robust than it was five years ago. 这里也是一种状态的比较.

A 和E在语法上面没有错误两句后半部分都省略了 by people who are wealthier, better-educated, and more polished people than him(he was)

但是从平行对称的原则看起来,E里面省略了people who are,那么后面省略了was,不是更对称吗,另外E的表达更加简洁.

还有在书面表达中更倾向与 he is taller than she is 而不是he is taller than her.

这道题目个人认为E的解释应该是than he was 应该更完善些.

反之如果是A, dominated by ....people then (dominated by) him. 这里的dominated by 省略之后不会造成任何不便.

但是这样子比较的两个地方就是 a world dominated by ....people than by him. 前面的dominated 应该有比较机修饰才对.

例如 a world that was more heavily dominated by....people than by him. 应该就对了.
