标题: 请教:OG 198 (OG大全总结以外的）any和than的用法

OG 198的题目如下：

198. Although Napoleon's army entered Russia with far more supplies than they had in their previous campaigns, it had provisions for only twenty-four days.

(A) they had in their previous campaigns

(B) their previous campaigns had had

(C) they had for any previous campaign

(D) in their previous campaigns

(E) for any previous campaign

正确选项是E,由OG的解释 army 用单数，排除法得到E选项。

可是我不太理解E选项，

1。any后面一般都跟复数，这边的campaign怎么是单数呢？？

2。than 后面怎么没有that这样的代词呢？这边的than是怎么用法呢？？

请大家多多请教：）谢谢大家啦！！

1．[usually in questions and negatives] some or even the smallest amount or number

2．used to refer to a person or thing of a particular type when what you are saying is true of all people or things of that type

XDF说像any这样的强烈语气词,是不能增减的,这里原文中并没有,正确选项中却加上了.晕
