标题: OG 129 新问
Cajuns speak a dialect brought to southern louisiana by the 4,000 Acadians who migrated there in 1755;their language is basically seventeenth-century French( to which has been added English, Spanish ,and Italian words.)
A to which has been added English, Spanish ,and Italian words
B added to which is English, Spanish ,and Italian words
C to which English, Spanish ,and Italian words have been added
D with English, Spanish ,and Italian words having been added to it
E and,in addition, English, Spanish ,and Italian words are added.
答案是 C。 我的问题是 B选项中,开头部分 added to which 是什么结构呢? OG 的解释中并未指出这一表达是错误的。
那么,这种表达是正确的吗?定语从句的动词也能连同介词一起提前么?还是added 修饰French 貌似后面的结构也不合理~麻烦路过的大家看看解答下,先谢谢了~

定语从句中,没有看到过动词一起提前。
我觉得所以从语法上,下面两种都可以
...French to which English, Spanish ,and Italian words have been added
或 ...French (which is )added to English, Spanish ,and Italian (不考虑时态)
但这两句话的意思是相反的,前一句,将英语等加入的法语中(法语是基础);后一句,将法语加入到英语等中。显然,要表达的是前面一种意思,因为is basically French。

嗯,对的,LS 讲的这个我是明白的,就是不清楚B选项开头部分是否合理额,小女才疏学浅,怕是因为自己孤陋寡闻才没见过这种形式,故来请教~

嗯,斑竹,恕我愚钝,我没有领会为何B run-on了。麻烦您再给讲讲~

Cajuns speak a dialect brought to southern louisiana by the 4,000 Acadians who migrated there in 1755;their language is basically seventeenth-century French, added to which are English, Spanish ,and Italian words. (修正谓语问题,忽略时态问题)
这样关系代词和先行词之间多了一个added,相当于被切断联系,那么added to which are English, Spanish ,and Italian words这个部分其实也是一个倒装的句子(虽然which无所指)。所以后面有两个句子。。
--
其实这也只是其中一个解释,当然也可以理解为,定语从句能提到关系代词前 面的,只有介词。

还是没理解,不过OG的解释是说B错在
1. Verb must be plural
2. Should use present perfect form "have been added"

我好像有点明白了。
那么,如果这里介词“to”不提前到which之前呢?即French which x, y, and z have been added to?这样对吗?和正确选项C比较是不是还是C好呢?
另外,斑竹可以再讲一下,这里用或者不用倒装的考量是什么?
谢谢aeo~

这样也是可以的,只是习惯性地我们都是把介词提前到关系代词前面,所以还是C比较好,只是这么细微的区别就不会成为考点了。
用倒装都是有原因的(强调或者平衡句子或者固定句式),如果正常语序和倒装都可以,gmat偏向于正常语序。

B选项 added to which 前没逗号呀。

这样也错吗?
