这道题是kaplan上的一道题，逻辑还算清楚，但是对exceptional的理解我有些疑问。首先第三空格悬garish没问题。exceptional可以表示 特别的 例外的，也可以表示优秀的。这道题里答案的解释exceptional是 a word with a positive connotation，应该是表示优秀或者好的意思。但是如果解释成例外的话，能不能说第二空和第一空取反，也就是本来是个朴素的设计，但却例外的有一些很奢华的东西？ 多谢！！
