OG选了E。 排除D的原因是suggests eruption of V took place in the letters themselves. 那么E不是会显得the nephew也是in two letters么？

我觉得把in two letters作为状语拎出来就是为了防止有great eruption发生在two letters的嫌疑，和把in two letters放在句尾是一样的效果； 还有就可能是逻辑上的推断吧，如果是in his office, 那么逻辑主语肯定是nephew, 但in two letter就只能当作是状语来修饰后面的句子了。作者: huosijie 时间: 2011-11-6 21:01
