171. In 1527 King Henry VIII sought to have his marriage to Queen Catherine annulled so as to marry Anne Boleyn.
(A) so as to marry
(B) and so could be married to
(C) to be married to
(D) so that he could marry
(E) in order that he would marry

C lacks an appropriate conjunction, and the infinitive clause to be married to ... makes this choice awkward and unidiomatic.

说be married to本身unidiomatic，不能理解，这个词不是习惯用法么？

无论是‘嫁’还是‘娶’，marry一般不用被动，而且习惯用A marry B

这个我不能同意，be married to很常见，字典也有的。

哈哈，回得好快啊。

be married to中married是个形容词，这个结构表达的意思是状态而不是动作，而原句明显需要一个动词来表达将要如何如何，所以用形容词结构不合适。

顶这个问题..同疑惑

一般情况下不是in order to=to吗,而且明显to比in order to简洁多了..

不明白这里为何一定要有一个连词

很多句子就是直接用to...做目的状语了啊

这道题好象大家都关心so as to和so that了..没什么人注意到这个问题

恳请大牛出面解决..

说说我的看法,我认为把C带入原句就是

H-8 sought to have his marriage annulled to be married to Anne.

这句里面有2个不定式连用.好像在OG前面曾经提到过不定式连用不好,别扭.

所以这里出现2个不定式,最好有连词连接,比如"and" : to do sth1 and to do sth2"

这里呢,前后2个不定式有目的关系,所以OG11说最好添加 in order 在第二个to前面,使得句子逻辑意思更加清晰.
