171. In 1527 King Henry VIII sought to have his marriage to Queen Catherine annulled so as to marry Anne Boleyn.
(A) so as to marry
(B) and so could be married to
(C) to be married to
(D) so that he could marry
(E) in order that he would marry
C lacks an appropriate conjunction, and the infinitive clause to be married to ... makes this choice awkward and unidiomatic.

还是关于C选项:在OG11中说“the infinitive must be preceded by a conjunction ( in order)”,为什么呢?

一般情况下不是in order to=to吗,而且明显to比in order to简洁多了..
这道题好象大家都关心so as to和so that了..
C lacks an appropriate conj, and "to be married to" makes awkward and unidiomatic.
H-8 sought to have his marriage annulled to be married to Anne.
所以这里出现2个不定式,最好有连词连接,比如"and" : to do sth1 and to do sth2"
