选项 A B C中 that 之前的部分都是相同的，说明that后面有问题 那就比较that后面 A C中 that 后面单复混用 就剩B了

独立主格不是一个完整的句子，是由名词及名词modifier组成的，修饰的是整个句子，类似verb modifier 。独立主格一般是由逗号与正文隔开，A South American bird that forages 。。。是由noun（A south American bird） + noun modifier(that forages….)组成的，这个独立主格不是修饰graveteiro的，而是修饰整句话.
整个句子得主语是 graveteiro, 谓语是belongs
a group of New World tropical birds thatincludes more than 230 species and that arerepresented in virtually every kind of habitat....是修饰前面的family的。 group是集体名词，要用单数。所以that are是错误的。这里that可以省略，直接用单数is就可以作者: dreamistrue 时间: 2011-11-2 03:15
独立主格表示第二个句子和第一个句子是可以分开的。所以那前面的逗号的那句话其实可以变成一个独立的句子。但是GMAT里不会考你两个带句号的句子放一起，肯定是要把他们变成某种连接，变成一个整体来考你。
