为什么A不对，为什么我可以把A看成 ignition 与 flames 并列，做make的宾语。

没有make sth doing 的表达，只有 make sth sth , make sb to do ,make sth adj

make sb. to do好像不可以呀~~应该是 make sb. do sth. 或者是sb. be made to ....比如：)I was made to laugh by him. 应该这能这样吧？~求NN 指点~

名词和动名词可以平行的，在动名词后面不加宾语的情况下~~

我查了下曾经的考题，动名词和名词确实可以平行。我刚想了想，这一题为什么选D是因为：动词优于名词的原则。A和D都在语法上是对的，但是spreading没有to spread来的好。所以答案还是选择了D。

A选项改为 the spreading of the flames 就对了加一个冠词彻底变为名词这样就平行了

ignition是动作名词~spreading是动名词
曼哈顿上说两者是不能平行的~

名词有两种形式一种是物体名词一种是动作名词两者不能平行
动名词亦有两种形式一种是简单动名词一种是复杂动名词（经常是前面加个定冠词做修饰）两者也不能平行

只有复杂动名词和动作名词才能平行~也就是LS说的“A选项改为 the spreading of the flames 就对了加一个冠词彻底变为名词这样就平行了 ”的情况
