PREP-2007 sc2-49
Since 1990 the global economy has grown more than it did during the 10,000 years from the
beginning of agriculture to 1950.
(A) Since 1990 the global economy has grown more than it did during the 10,000 years from the
beginning of agriculture
(B) Since 1990 the growth of the global economy has been more than that during 10,000 years,
from when agriculture began
(C) The growth of the global economy since 1990 exceeds that which had been for 10,000 years
from the beginning of agriculture
(D) The growth of the global economy since 1990 exceeds what it has been for 10,000 years, from
when agriculture began
(E) The growth of the global economy since 1990 exceeds what it
did for the 10,000 years from the
beginning of agriculture
我当时排除A的理由是, more than it did  需要改为 more than it grew如果要用did 必须在前面的时态中找到对应的时态动词grew

1.
According to a recent poll, owning and living in a freestanding house on its own land is still a goal of a
majority of young adults,as it
wasof earlier generations

2.
1.    I have never <seen>  such an animal, but last year my father
did.
2.    I have never <seen>  such an animal, but last year my father
saw one.

Compared to those who do not, running three days a week saves an average of 14.1 percent on health-care costs each year in the United States.

(A) Compared to those who do not, running three days a week saves

(B) Compared with nonrunners, people who run three days a week save

(C) Compared to not running, those running for three days a week save

(D) When compared with those who do not, people running three days a week save

(E) When compared to nonrunners, running three days a week saves

prep解释D错误的理由是. do not没有可指代的动作,因为后面是用现在分词running作定语,而不是people who run…

PREP-2007 sc2-49Since 1990 the global economy has grown more than itdid during the 10,000 years from thebeginning of agriculture to 1950.(逻辑时态根据后面的时间状语判断)

OG1282 According to a recent poll, owning and living in a freestanding house on its own land is still a goal of a majority of young adults, as itwas of earlier generations(逻辑时态根据earlier generations判断)

OG1222 None of the attempts to specify the causes of crime explains why most of the people exposed to the alleged causes do not commit crimes and, conversely, why so many of those not so exposed do.(注意这里的两个why 的主语是不一致的,一般来讲those, that指代的只是new copy, original 名词是不同的 do代表的是前面的commit,所以该句是正确的)
I have never <seen>  such an animal, but last year my fathersawone(主语不相同,时态又不同,所以就不能用助动词did啦)

When compared with those whodo not, people running three days a week savean average of 14.1 percent on health-care costs each year in the United States

I work hard, so does my sister.(只不过这里是倒装)

In the rare cases in which the tenses do not need to match, the exact verb form missing afterthe helping verb should be present elsewhere in the sentence.
OG1287 In an effort to reduce their inventories, Italian vintners have cut prices; their wines are priced to sell, and theydodo 代表的是sell
Our cars were designed to inspire envy, and theydo.do 代表的是inspire
